Submission guidelines

RFFC members can submit their works for inclusion in this gallery. Original fan art is preferred, followed by scans and photos of unique items owned by the members themselves such as cels and models. Because space on the web site is limited, other scans (from artbooks etc) will be accepted only if they were scanned by the submitting member and there is a particular reason for the image's inclusion on the site; there is not space for this to be a generic, all-encompassing gallery. Images taken from other web sites will generally not be accepted. All images must concern Ryoko; generic Tenchi Muyo and other images will, in general, not be accepted.

Images should be of good quality, a reasonable size, and in JPG format using a reasonable compression setting; 640x480 images should be around 40KB, very large images (1000x1000 or larger) should be less than 150KB. JPG images should not be dithered. GIF images are acceptable only in those cases where GIF results in better compression, however transparent and/or animated GIFs should be avoided because of the problems they raise for some browsers. Other image formats (including PNG) are not acceptable, the Chief Bottlewasher has software to convert most formats if needed.

If you have an image you would like to submit, send it to the Chief Bottlewasher. Please do not submit anything larger than 300KB in size. Only the very largest and most detailed images require such big files, and even those can usually be compressed to 100KB or less without harm.

Please do not send me images that you happened to find somewhere on the Web. I can't use them. Images will only be used where the consent of the person who made the scan - and the original artist, where applicable - can be obtained.

Images will be removed from the web site and archived off-line in the Stacks as and when web space becomes an issue. In all likelihood the oldest images (mostly mine) will go first, with ordinary scans being removed before more interesting ones such as fan art.
